The Thanks-Living Advantage: Thanks-living Snapshots For 2014

1-snapshot-DNAWe are all pre-wired for joy, happiness, prosperity, inner peace, mystical and metaphysical understanding, health, compassion, wisdom, and unconditional love. They’re all part of our spiritual DNA. And we have the deeper knowledge at our soul level of knowing that each of these wonderful expressions are only one thought away, one affirmation away, one action away. And that’s the thanks-living advantage.

2-Snapshot-danceThe more you accept the dance of life, the better you can dance with life. Sometimes you can waltz through challenges, other times you find yourself in a tango with the surprises life throws at you. Sometimes you can swing from one experience to another, other times you can simply quick step your way out of interesting situations. The wonderful thing about it all is that you determine how well you dance. And that’s the thanks-living advantage.

3-Snapshot-AffirmInstead of affirming a specific outcome, try affirming the essence of what you want. For example, instead of affirming that you get a raise, affirm that you are financially free, with all your bills paid and plenty to share and spare. Instead of saying, “I no longer suffer from asthma,” affirm “I have now transcended all patterns of illness. I am happy, healthy, and whole!” You’ll find that’s the thanksliving advantage.

When we cleanse our consciousness of error thoughts and inclinations, we are baptized by the fire of this awareness. Every time we pull ourselves out of the illusion of our separation from Spirit, we are baptized by the fire of this awareness. Each time we raise a worldly thought to its spiritual essence, we are baptized by the fire of this awareness. When we lift ourselves out of the negativity of the moment, we are baptized by the fire of this awareness. Baptism is not so much of an event as it is a process of aligning ourselves with our Divine Nature. And that’s the thanks-living advantage.

Pay attention to spiritual truths. They are like mental shampoo which washes the materialistic film off your thinking. The more you do that, the greater your thanks-living advantage will be.

4-Snapshot-meditateIf we say we believe everyone is divine within, we need to be sure we treat every person that way. If we believe we are connected to Divine Substance, we need to live in alignment with that belief. If we recognize the power of meditation and prayer, we need to be sure we are making time to spend there! The more we do those things, the more elevated our thanks-living edge will be.

Each cell, every molecule, each atom is a sacred tabernacle of Spirit. These sacred tabernacles are connected. There is no denominational sparing. Their biology is their theology. When we realize the significance of this invisible connection, we will honor the human soul’s relationship to Spirit. When we acknowledge this connection, from soul to cell, our body becomes the highly-charged sacred ground of our being. When we achieve this perfect synchrony, we experience the inner peace, joy, health, and wholeness which are the truth of us. You’ll find that’s the thanks-living advantage.

5-Snapshot-BuddhaThere is an Eastern parable which says that if you meet the Buddha on the road to your spiritual enlightenment, you must kill him. This cryptic saying is telling us that our fixation on a particular spiritual or religious path as THE answer may hinder our spiritual growth. We must always remain open to new spiritual insights so we can grow our consciousness. Our movement toward Christ Consciousness is a cumulative process of unfoldment. It is also thanks-living at its best.

We have access to Divine Ideas because we are divine beings being human. We can receive them any time we want through our connection with Spirit. They come from our super-consciousness which warehouses our ‘Inner Net’ of Divine Ideas. We ‘up’ our thanks-living advantage every time we access our super-conscious awareness.

6-snapshot-DivineOrderWe invite you to be very careful when you refer to Divine Order as something ‘out there,’ something external that is rigid and imposed upon you by some celestial deity. It is omnipresent scaffolding available to you each consecutive-moment-of-now. Divine Order is not some cosmic force that acts upon you. Because Divine Order is the creative process of Mind – Idea – Expression, it is an intentional act of your creation. You can divinely order your good because you are a spiritual being having a human experience. And that’s thanks-living plus.

Gratitude is a total body, mind, and soul experience. It comes from the part of the brain that registers ‘soul’ experiences. So, when we walk along our favorite beaches and feel the sand under our feet and the breeze blowing through our hair, or drive along our favorite stretch of highway, or step out of our homes at night and admire the canopy of stars overhead, or enjoy experiencing the multi-colored leaf changes that November brings, our souls sing and our bodies are revitalized with streams of dopamine and serotonin, the biological gifts of gratitude. So you see, feeling gratitude on a regular basis heals us at a cellular level. Being grateful is not Pollyanna and it’s not to be taken lightly. It’s serotonin to our soul and dopamine for a life of thanks-living.

Now we invite you to create your own Thanks-living snapshots, as you walk the spiritual path on practical, grateful feet!
